Ehhhh...
An excellent point, Miss Adamu, as always. However, you neglected one key attribute of clothing in general: gender. If men (allow me to rephrase… MOST men) wore high heeled shoes as regularly as they do suits AND if women wore men’s suits as much as they wear high heels, THEN it would be a contest of the greater evil. However since men are confined to the haberdashery, and women, for the most part, don’t adorn men’s formalwear, I stand by my original point. Suits are to men as heels are to women.

But, just to be honest, if I had a suit for every day of the week I’d wear nothing but suits.
maryamsmiles:

I completely get where you are coming from (suits and high heels alike are nice to look at on others than wear yourself), and I half expected this sort of response when I typed the first statement. That being said, I would hardly compare the actual experience of wearing a suit to that of wearing heels. Maybe I’m ignorant, but there are no lasting physical effects resulting from prolonged suit-wearing. Neckties, maybe. But Kid Cudi is not wearing a necktie, so that’s kind of irrelevant to my original thought. Though both aren’t the most comfortable things on the planet, one is definitely a lesser evil.
sureynot:

Girls don’t wear heels all the time because they’re not as much of a pleasant experience for the wearer as they are for the audience. By comparison, the suit is the high-heeled shoe of the realm of masculinity. They never feel as comfy after a few hours (unless you’re Bill Gates or Czar Nicholas and can afford that kind of quality). They require that the enrobed individual “walk funny.” And almost immediately after whatever event required the attire, they are the first thing that any man wants to rip through and walk around letting the once covered skin breeeeaaathe.
So, then next time that thought crosses your mind… think “high-heeled shoe.”
maryamsmiles:

I think men should just wear suits, all the time.
