Ehhhh...
why is it that guys dress like old men and women dress like little girls?

joshbregy:

hurricanerita:

“hip” guy- grandpa cardigan, loafers, argyle socks, pocket watches

“hip” girl- piggy-tails, bows, pink-everything, mary janes, ankle socks.

(roflol @ my use of the word “hip”)

it’s not that i mind it, i mean, i wear ankle socks. and i love my mary janes but

what the hell is happening to everybody?

I love cardigans!!!!!

Here’s my theory: Men are intimidated by their most important aspects of life (women, jobs, colleagues, etc). The “masculine culture” tells guys to be rowdy, drunk and juvenile in order to maintain their sanity outside of their mundane lives. SO, they seek to show their ability to be mature through fashion.

With women, it’s just the opposite: women are urged to me quiet, calm, and collected all the time in today’s society. Ladies are expected to be prepared and organized at any point during the day. In essence, they have to grow up a lot faster than guys do. In order to keep a sense of youth, they dress in a manner that brings back those carefree feelings of being a happy little girl again.

Or here’s my favorite alternate theory: they like the style.
